Vertical Specifications

VySombra™
PVC Flexible Verticals
    For vertical purposes vanes shall be 3.5" or 5" width. For shade purposes material shall be fabricated to width to match specific window applications. Material is composed of one layer of fabric laminated to three plys of PVC vinyl film. Product shall pass Federal Spec CCC-C-521e or NFPA 701 small scale for flame resistant properties. Total weight per sq. yd. shall be a minimum of 12 oz. Material shall withstand, without significant color change, 500 hours in a Fadeometer at 105 degrees F. and 300 hours in a Weatherometer. Tensile strength per one inch of width will be no less than 120 lbs. x 70 lbs. when measured by 1" x 6" strip. Material shall offer shadow free opacity for room darkening capability.


TriGlas®
PVC Flexible Verticals
    Shade shall be 3.5" or 5" width. Material is composed of 100% glass fiber base laminated to PVC vinyl film. Product shall pass Federal Spec CCC-C-521e or NFPA 701 for flame resistant properties. Total weight per sq. yd. shall be 12 oz. Material shall withstand without significant color change 500 hours in a fadeometer at 105 degrees F. and 300 hours in Weatherometer. Minimum thread count shall be 60 threads per sq. inch. Tensile strength per 1" strip shall be 130 lbs. in the warp direction and 120 lbs. in the filling direction. Material is considered straight hanging, long wear, washable material. Material offers shadow free opacity for room darkening capability.


VyGard® and VyGard® II
Non Woven (Stitch bonded) Fabric Verticals
    
Shades shall be 3.5" or 5" in width. Material is composed of 100% polyester finished with the trademark VyGard® process. Material shall be pliable and should not break or crack on louver fabrication. The material shall have sufficient rigidity to ensure straight hanging and resistance to curl, twist, bowing and distortion. The material should have dimensional stability under various environmental exposures and should resist shrinking, stretch, curl, cupping and twist. Total weight shall vary between 9 - 12 oz. per sq. yard dependent on the individual style. Material shall withstand without significant color change 100 hours in a fadeometer at 105 degrees F. Tensile strength shall vary between 25 - 100 lbs./sq. inch dependent on the individual style, using the 1" x 6" strip method per US Federal Spec CCC-C-521e. Tear strength shall measure 1 KG minimum W/F as tested on an Elmendorf tester in warp and fill directions.
