VyTech manufactures our own pigmented base films in gauges which vary from 3 to 6 mils for surface printed patterns for both residential and commercial flooring applications. For residential applications, we also manufacture clear overlay films in gauges from 3 to 5 mils, which are laminated to the printed substrate. Residential OEM's usually apply urethane coatings to the finished tiles for scratch and mar resistance. The same printed base films are also used on commercial flooring tiles. Commercial floors require a heavier clear overlay film, which VyTech can obtain from outside vendors and can laminate the overlay to the printed substrate film internally.
VyTech has design centers at our manufacturing facility in Anderson, SC and in Elkhart, IN. We have a library of over 3,200 existing designs and are adding approximately 35 to 45 new designs annually. Customers can choose from our design library or we can create new designs specific to our customer's needs. VyTech´s design department is known for its quick turnaround from sample request to printed film. Patterns are available in widths up to 72 inches.
